Beware of the Trap of Idleness

Children of God, don’t be idle. The Lord has specifically given us some things to do and even have put in our hearts places to go. Whatever free time you have, use some of it to do what the Lord has told you to do. The word of God says that we are to be steadfast, unmoveable and always abounding in the work of the Lord. But the trap comes in when we start to take a break, and then we don’t go back to finish what the Lord has given us to do. We become idle. If the Lord has given you a business, you are to get as much information by reading and studying so you can flourish in that business He has given you. If He has given you a ministry, you are to be taught, read and study so that you can be used effectively for the Kingdom. Even after you get your training, you are not done. He has work for you to do. Many of us have put things back on the shelf that we had prayed for the Lord to give to us. You asked to be used of Him, but yet now you say you are tired and need to take weeks and months off. No! God doesn’t work like that. Please know that what you are unwilling to do He will use someone else to finish it.He is looking for willing vessels, not vessels that tell Him to come back later.
